Parades, parades and more parades

Rex toasting the house on St Charles - its traditional as this family would give lots of money to Mardi Gras.

Weird float in Zulu.
King Arthur - this is the Queen's float.

Zulu - the only all black (almost) krewe. A man told us that it is common for Zulu to have floats that breakdown. And that because it is a parody of Rex to follow, the tradition would often be to leave a broken down float in the way of Rex - trying to scupper Rex's parade. This year they had an empty float to symbolise those who are missing or yet to return to New Orleans after the storm.
Zulu krewe members are all made up - with the men having one white eye and the ladies two.
